Jet Sports Training Male Athlete of the Month: Mica Mountain football standout Riley Carson

A week after earning his second consecutive 4A state championship with Mica Mountain, senior athlete Riley Carson took home the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl Defensive MVP honor on Dec. 15 at AT&T Stadium at Arlington, Texas.

Carson, playing safety, made an interception in the end zone at the start of the fourth quarter to preserve the lead in the West’s 16-7 victory over the East.

In the 42-17 win over No. 1 Phoenix Arcadia in the 4A state championship game, Carson had a 99-yard kickoff return for the touchdown. Carson also made five point-after attempts and was responsible for punting duties as well as being a receiver and safety.

He had seven tackles and caused a fumble against Arcadia.

For his performance in December, Carson is the Jet Sports Training Male Athlete of the Month.
