Vinny Orlando, 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, has a year of experience in Sahuaro coach Al Alexander’s system after transferring before last fall to the eastside school from Delaware. … That should make him more of a threat passing the ball in addition to his rushing and receiving exploits with the Cougars last season. … He passed for 407 yards while completing 27 passes in 71 attempts with four touchdowns and two interceptions. He rushed for 485 yards on 68 carries with nine touchdowns. When he shifted to wide receiver, he caught 20 passes for 313 yards with two touchdowns. … Told the Sahuaro school newspaper – The Paper Cut – that he has ambitions of playing football for the Texas Longhorns. … Coaches selected him to the All-4A Gila First Team as an athlete. … Quality student with a 3.5 GPA. … Has a scholarship offer from Arizona Christian.
