Mountain View is 15-3 overall, 10-2 in ranking games and 7-0 in the 5A Sonoran Region. The Mountain Lions are ranked No. 5 in the 5A Conference and the team has a huge “freedom” game at 6A No. 7 Marana (13-2) on Monday. The team already earned a share of the Sonoran Region title but a higher ranking is at stake on Monday for both squads.
The Play-In Tournaments are slated for April 29 for teams ranked No. 9-24 and both teams are also playing to avoid that round and head directly to the state tournament that starts on May 2.
