Jet Sports Training Female Athlete of the Month: CDO track & field athlete Karsten Lewis

Canyon del Oro sophomore Karsten Lewis posted Southern Arizona’s best times in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles this spring when she placed first in each event in the Willie Williams Invitational at Roy P. Drachman Stadium on March 24.

Lewis had her season-best time in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.96 seconds.

She had a personal-record time of 44.52 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles. That is the second-best time in the state this spring, trailing only Canyon View’s Brooklyn Grizzell (43.84).

Lewis also placed first in the 400-meter run (personal-record 58.32 seconds) and 100-meter hurdles (15.13) at the Nighthawk Early Bird Invitational on March 9.

For her impressive performances in the month of March, Lewis is the Jet Sports Training Female Athlete of the Month.
