A world champion this year like Andre Iguodala, Rob Gronkowski deserves to be considered for the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame for his extreme professional success.

Gronkowski, entering his sixth season with New England, is the best tight end in the NFL today. By the time he retires, he could be the greatest at his position.

In his brief time at Arizona, Gronkowski earned many accolades.

As a freshman in 2007, Gronkowski recorded 28 receptions for 525 yards and six touchdowns. His 18.8 yards per reception average was the best on the team. He was named a The Sporting News freshman All-American.

As a sophomore, he caught 12 passes for 143 yards, setting a school record for a tight end for single-game receiving yardage. He also recorded the most receiving yards (672) for a tight end in a season at Arizona. Gronkowski was named an Associated Press third-team All-American and All-Pac-10 first-team tight end.

He did not play as a junior in 2009 because of a back injury. He was drafted in the second round by New England in 2010.
