CDO baseball standout Tyler Porter to play for Long Beach State

Canyon del Oro standout Tyler Porter committed to play for Long Beach State this morning according to his family. Porter, a 2017 Chris Moon Southern Arizona Player of the Year, is the son of former University of Arizona and MLB standout Colin Porter.

“We are so thankful for all of the people who have coached, mentored, and supported Tyler over the years,” his parents Colin and Dawn said. “We are proud of his hard work and dedication to the sport he loves. More than anything, our family is thankful and humbled today.”

The Dorados are 8-2 on the year and are participating in the Horizon National Invitational this week.
